There is a difference between "innocent until proven guilty" and "nothing to be concerned about until proven guilty" though.

Peterson and Musk have both taken large steps to the right in recent years. This is happening in a lot of 'culture war' battlegrounds. Moderates are leaving the space and the two extremes are just radicalising each other.
