And what kind of a measure is that? I'm not here to be popular or to score other posters' performance or win points in some cyber-popularity willy-waving contest, I'm here to try and help people understand how contracting works in an ever more difficult arena and to have a bit of fun winding up the self-important ones among us. Like those who think the scores on the doors are significant. Or even accurate.Originally posted by AtW View Post

I thought National Rail was state owned and not for profit, reinvesting any profits back into the infrastructure. And it exists because private ownership of its immediate precursor was such a major triumph. Or something...Originally posted by WTFH View Post
I see in the other thread that the transport secretary is talking about a public (i.e. nationalised) body called “Great British Railways”. It can then be sold/managed by the private sector to ensure shareholders and pension schemes are fully rewarded.Blog? What blog...?

June 2021 was the EU settlement scheme deadline so EU citizens migrating was expected to be high. Heavy EU migration really started in 2004 under B'liar. 6 million turned up and wanted to stay.

Massive reforms sound quite expensive to implement. Will they bring in more government revenue to pay for themselves?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

They must! And it's not going to be cheap to re-build Great Britain following many decades of destruction by government.Originally posted by d000hg View PostMassive reforms sound quite expensive to implement. Will they bring in more government revenue to pay for themselves?
Nationalisation could be quite cheap - there's no requirement to compensate shareholders for current 'market value'
