Are you, or have you ever been a member of a political party?

I was curious if any of us here are entitled to vote in the Tory leadership contest, but then wondered more generally if people have been/are members of any political party? Or even involved in a political party in a more substantial way - leafleting, grassroots stuff, whatever.

What do you get if you're a member? Special deals on Thatcher tea towels?

well for the lib dems it was a cup of tea and thankyous for leafletting.

Did a little for the Hitler Youth and young Conservatives when younger but I decided they were a little extreme
