Not being reported in the right wing press...

This story is only in the far left media, who are insisting in pointing out it is another Tory MP in trouble...

Never seen Nick Ferrari as left wing?

Yeah the wail is further left than the slaver.

hmmm seems wtfh needs to take more water with it.

            From the wail link.

Tories face mounting pressure to NAME 'MP in his 50s' accused of rape as he's released on bail: Liz Truss insists it is a police matter - as Commons is hit by yet another sex assault allegation
            • MP arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault offences spanning seven years is released on bail
            • Also detained on suspicion of indecent assault, abuse of position of trust and misconduct in public office
            • All of the offences allegedly committed by unnamed man in his 50s are said to have occurred in London
Personally I think unless the court requires the suspect to be named, they should remain anonymous until convicted. This troublesome innocent until proven guilty concept British justice mandates.

Nick Ferrari show this morning clearly mentioned a conservative MP accused.

Anonymity is tricky. On the one hand you are innocent until proven guilty, yet a mere accusation let alone an arrest will leave a permanent stain - it's quite common for companies to sack people purely due to accusations, etc.

On the other, if your local MP was arrested, shouldn't you as a constituent have a right to know? To what extent should an MP's life be open to those who they represent?

Its not tricky, treat it like a search warrant you have to apply for the right to release the name. If you do so without reasonable cause then the court and Police are liable.

Sadly with sexual allegations so few result in prosecution but as you can see with the Depp/Heard trial mud slinging can have serious consequences.
