    Do you honkies play scrabble?

Dunno if we did this -

TPTB have decided to remove slur words from the official scrabble dictionary. This came into effect for UK tournament after Easter.

The full list can be found here

Crazy times. Words are words, and scrabble is a game of words.

Even if you accept the premise there's some very surprising stuff on the list - bint, harelip etc

Plain old swear words such as wank, c*** etc are still allowed.

On the plus side, I played a scrabble tournament last weekend and beat my opponent after challenging her LEZ (one of the removed words) thus denying her around 50 points

When my son and I used to play it we got double points for rude words.

I actually assumed there was a list of banned words already including the stronger swear words. More interesting that most are still allowed, leads to awkwardness if a kid wins a big tournament with a triple-word score on ****er.

You don't like the "Low Emission Zone" ?

Lez / lezzer slang for lesbian may be an issue?
