Morning all,
So my current leather project is to make one of these which is a D&D inspired box in which I intend to store our excessive dice collection.
I plan on a few minor cosmetic changes to suit my preferences, but what I would really like is for the box to actually growl upon opening, because everyone needs a growling box
Now my knowledge of electronics is minimal at best, therefore here I am seeking the collective "wisdom" of CUK, or at least a nerd with a clue!
My starting point is one of these sound modules but rather than having to push a button to play the sound I want it to activate when the box is opened.
So my question is, can I replace the play button with a thing that causes a circuit to break (like on a house window alarm system) which then plays the sound?
I need the solution to be simple, I have a soldering iron & can just about use it, I have the space in the lid of the box to store any gubbins.
TYIA for any sensible suggestions, but I accept that this is general & NLady may have a different interpretation of a growing box
