When you mock a guy's wife over her illness/disability and he slaps you rather than punches you, you are being insulted."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JR -
On it's own no, but there are other conditions it can come with that can be serious.Originally posted by Zigenare View Post
No problems on that score, thanks for your concern though.
Just for the record, Alopecia isn't usually a serious medical condition."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I reckon there's every chance this was a pre-arranged publicity stunt. After all, public interest in the Oscars, with its relentless and ever increasing wokery, has been seriously flagging in recent years.
Also, I can't believe the obsessive interest in this by the pathetic Daily Fail (and probably all the other tabloids). I counted over 20 articles on it in the Main Online! But that said, even this discussion thread has reached nearly 10 pages.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

It worked

Will Smith's slap helps Oscars stumble to higher ratings: More than 15.4 million people tuned in to the Academy Awards - up 56% from 2021 - but it's still the second-lowest rated viewings in the show's history- Television ratings for the Oscars rebounded somewhat from last year's record low with 15.6 million vieers
- But Sunday night's ceremony is still the second-lowest rated in the show's history
- 'CODA' won best picture in Sunday's ceremony, but all of the winners and losers were overshadowed by best actor winner Will Smith
- About an hour before accepting his win, he stormed the stage to slap comic Chris Rock who made about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith

Next year a slap at the Oscars will be old hat. Someone will have to whip out a gun and shoot a person on stage!

He's a leading Hollywood A-lister for several decades, noted for his charisma. Hardly needs to assert his "alpha" status. Whereas sniping about it on the internet is classic Beta male behaviour.Originally posted by PerfectStorm View PostAn impotent display of wannabe alpha male primacy.
Anyway it was interesting to watch the media tone change over the day. It's now changed from simply reporting the story with a bit of bemusement "Will slaps Chris" to a decided judgement "The Will Smith Attack". The Guardian for instance is calling for his head as if he kicked the tulip out of the guy rather than a quick slap which didn't even seem to hurt.
I saw one 'article' railing about how Rock "could have been killed" - good grief.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Doesn't sound like an Alpha male to be.
