Wow ... sounds like you're a below average looking bloke who doesn't get any, and blames women for it. I'm sure there's a little group you can join of similar men, you'd have a lot in common
Maybe Chris Rock will continue being a comedian. One thing is for sure, the smooth, debonaire Will Smith has demonstrated his lack of control, wit and intelligence.
He should have replied with a cutting remark not an upper cut.
Rock is a bit of an animal with people's feelings and as warty said he was out of order attacking her illness.
Ah well at least we now know which part of the Bible is redundant for you:
What is the meaning of Matthew 5 39?
This is the second verse of the antithesis on the command: "eye for an eye". In one of the most famous verses in the New Testament, Jesus here rejects revenge and retaliation, instead telling his followers to turn the other cheek.
The bit in the bible about your views being unimportant is certainly not redundant. You and your little vendetta.
While does every time Chris Rock host the Oscars does he turn on Jada Pinkett Smith? This time it was clear she was here to accompany her husband.
He makes his name with gutter comedy generally doesn't he? Attacking and diminishing others for a cheap laugh always seems a bit easy as well as tasteless. Compare with someone like the late Sean Lock who could be sharp an acerbic, but clever. Git like when Gervais hosts, all it is is digs and ugly jokes on people. People lap it up because people are cruel.
According to gender stereotypes, yep. Just like marching up to someone and physically abusing them because they said something nasty about your wife is a gender steotype. Would Will Smith have slapped Whoopi Goldberg if she'd said the same thing?
Will Smith broke down when he attacked Chris Rock - I would suggest that the tears were part of the recognition that he'd done something wrong and partly due to the adrenalin wearing off. He lost control, fcked up and was beginning to realise that.
Btw, my wife would murder me if I did something as stupid as Will Smith did.

You'd be a brave man (or woman) to step to Whoopi.
