          French companies try not to hire people. Then if they do as it is hard to get rid of people they bully them, sometimes to near death, to get them to leave.

                It is sad that all those P&O workers have lost their jobs. But on a positive note they are living in a prosperous post Brexit economy bolstered by levelling up. They will surely find new employment easy to come by whether it be lorry driving, farm working, hospitality or nursing
