Anyone making money (or losing money) due to the war?

Latest communique from the stock-broker claims that post-conflict rebounds are often quite rapid, and argues that as long as you are investing for long-term growth in solid companies/products, this shouldn't be a big worry.
So it could be a long-term win to be putting more cash into shares while things are depressed as long as you don't look at the short term when it could drop much further. But i think I'll be sitting on cash (in my ISA) for a while.
Can't put any more cash in until new tax year, and who knows what the markets will look like then. I'll just sit tight and let the markets sort themselves out. In the long term, should be ok.
Yeah, but raw numbers don't mean much of you have a massive investment via your SIPP and ISAs. If you're down tens of percent, that's a different matter and probably indicates a very risky and unbalanced portfolio indeed.
Bought £10K of Palladium ETC before New Year, along with similar amounts of Gold and Platinum ETCs. Working well as an offset against Global equity drops.
Think we are all losing at mo. Received £20k recently following some legal decision over the teacher's pension I have from the late missus's job. With all the expired savings accounts must have £30 to £40k in cash but just not sure what to do with it at the moment.
