One of my shops has sold an unusually high number of Ukraine/Scotland lapel pin badges, so I'm £35 minus expenses ahead for this war. Boom !!When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

I've been offered a very nice contract at an investment bank, but I'm very apprehensive to accept it given the ominous market conditions due to the war and the result of the economic sanctions to the global economy.Comment

Lots of volatility, commodities and miners up, defensives holding, and European stocks getting crushed.I'm alright JackComment

Sure we've been here before so forgive the repeat. Take one of your lady friends, maybe the mad one, to Monaco and put it all on red/black!Originally posted by xoggoth View PostThink we are all losing at mo. Received £20k recently following some legal decision over the teacher's pension I have from the late missus's job. With all the expired savings accounts must have £30 to £40k in cash but just not sure what to do with it at the moment. But I discovered nothing else but depraved, excessive superstition. Now heading for 120p/L.Originally posted by DealorNoDeal View PostI'm glad I got our heating oil tank filled a couple of weeks ago. It was 66p/litre then; now it's 88p.

When the oil price shot up back in 2008, we had a lot of oil thefts in our area. No doubt that'll be on the rise again.Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.Comment

Why? It seems to be £1.55 a litre at some supermarkets. If people are filling up at BP, the local showing as £179.9 right now, then they need to start filling up their tanks in a more sensible manner. BP garages are the most expensive across the UK and yet queues still form at them. It is mad.Originally posted by BlueSharp View Post

I spend about 2 years doing a route where I drove pass 6 petrol stations. While all the Shell stations would be expensive, one of the BP's would fluctuate between being the most most expensive and cheapest. The Esso was the only one that was consistently one of the cheapest."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
