He probably doesn't fancy a shed load of sanctions to add to his already widespread unpopularity.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

At least that's what they say now. Russia spent months telling us they weren't going to invade.

Turkey have now called it a war so that they can enact parts of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montre...of_the_Straits

China are offering to be mediators!

              From the Guardian -
              https://www.theguardian.com/world/li...nvasion-update

In his phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, on Tuesday, China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, signalled that his country is willing to mediate the conflict, the Guardian’s Vincent Ni writes.

“Ukraine is willing to strengthen communications with China, and it looks forward to China playing a mediation role in achieving a ceasefire,” according to a Chinese readout, which cites Kuleba.
Using strong language, Wang said China “deplores” the Ukraine-Russia conflict, and it is “extremely concerned” about harms caused to civilians.
But Wang continued to take a balanced view on Russia’s action in its neighbour. He said that while China believes that the security of one country “should not come at the expense of the security of other countries”, regional security “cannot be realised through the expansion of military groups”.
