Back to Jamie Oliver smuggling kebabs through the school gates...
I don't agree with that at all. It's a view being enforced on the children which should not happen in a school. Activities to encourage understanding of the issue yes. Making it affect what you eat and taking choice away absolutely not.

I believe the article mentioned the effect on the planet so becomes a political view. Should maybe have mentioned that. Context would have been good but can't find the article.

It's scientific fact that vegetarian diets are more ecologically sound. In many countries the school meals will be vegetarian as the norm - meat being a special occasion.
What's your argument a school has to offer meat? Where's the line? Can they stop serving red meat?

Can you find a child who will die from not eating meat at every meal?

In fact if the school is makes vegetarian meals which aren't processed vegetarian crap the kids are getting their monies worth of food.

And if they don't like it they can have packed lunch which can have meat in it.

More likely they'd stop teaching maths at all because it makes kids feel bad when they are no good at it.

Wow, we're really scraping the barrel. If they don't die it's ok. Guess FGM is fine then.

Things like political vegetarianism should not be imposed in schools. Period.

There are actually nurseries and pre-schools that only serve vegetarian meals because it is easy way of dealing with the parents individual dietary requirements for their child. A primary school doing the same could claim to for the same reasons unless the leadership team haven't thought things though like in this case.

The Arabs have contributed exactly nothing to mathematics.
