It doesn't matter what you think of Brexit, the resignation of one of the few ministers who have even a shred of integrity is pretty depressing. Look at his reasons, they are pretty sound.

You mean the guy who was against Brexit and then became pro-Brexit, negotiated agreement with EU and then tried to reneg on it within some months?

It isn't "done" while the ECJ have a role in arbitrating trade disputes in Northern Ireland!

In other news the Hundred Years War has ended...
Bloody hell, really? I was hoping to join up for a chance of some burning and looting in France!

You mean "It isn't done while the UK haven't come up with any solutions for Northern Ireland, but don't want the one they agreed with the EU or any other suggestions the EU makes"

Well you see how well the EU understands things like fishing licences. Soon they will be setting fire to Leprechauns!

If the UK sells the fishing licences to foreigners, why does it suddenly matter what area those foreigners are from?

The UK does not SELL fishing licences it issues them with the understanding the fishermen will fish sustainably. The recipients may sell them to a suitable buyer who obeys the rules.

The French do not like the UK not issuing licences when they can't fill in the form properly.

The many EU buyers & recipients seem unable to obey the stockholding rules.
