    Lord Frost resigns

"Lord Frost resigns as Brexit Minister over Covid Plan B and direction of Boris Johnson's Government

Lord Frost has told Boris Johnson that he is resigning from the Cabinet due to "disillusionment" with the direction of the Government.

The Brexit Minister, who was leading Mr Johnson's post-Brexit negotiations with the EU, is said to have quit over the Prime Minister's Plan B Covid restrictions a week ago but was persuaded to remain in his post until January.

Lord Frost felt growing "disillusionment" with the "direction" of the Government's policy, according to the Mail on Sunday.

The resignation of such a close ally creates a major new crisis for the Prime Minister. In a series of Cabinet interventions, Lord Frost resisted Mr Johnson's National Insurance hike and opposed draconian Covid-19 measures - a new suite of which are now being considered by the Government. "

Oh dear - who will now negotiate with EU?

Nadine Dorries was removed from the Brexit MPs WhatsApp group for telling them to be loyal to Johnson.

If Frost has resigned, that means the Boris wonky shopping trolley has bottled Brexit.

It's as simple as that. Any other issues that Frost claims perplexes him are just a diplomatic smokescreen.

Nobody in the Govt wants to touch that pile of steaming crock of tulip.

Lordy Frosty dragged out negotiations to avoid making any decisions and now he is off, he's got his Lordship anyway, which is forever now.

Sums up all that is wrong with the Tory backbenches really, doesn't it. Assorted nonentities over-excited by their own non-existent power. Schoolkids in the playground have more sense.

That may be so generally, but it seems reasonable to assume that if this Nadine Dorries is a Boris supporter then as a member of a Brexit supporting group she is very likely a spy in the camp reporting their private deliberations back to Johnson, because he sure as hell doesn't care about Brext one way or the other and is probably a Europhile and Rejoiner at heart.

Don't know if you've noticed but Brexit is done and dusted and the UK is coming to terms with the changes. There are several rather more significant things to worry about now
