How is Keir so ineffective with such a open goal?
Hardly an apology. He did apologise for the video, but not for the actual party. Twitter now has a story doing the rounds from a whistle blower that he actually came in briefly, commented on the number of people there and then left again.

It also appears that Number 10 are preparing to throw their junior staffers under the bus by blaming them for any supposed wrongdoing. I can imagine a number of them may be sufficiently unhappy about that to talk to the press.

For Boris to utter the words "I apologise" is a rarity, regardless.

People who attended should be thrown under the bus. They knew exactly what they were doing. Of course so should whoever organised it, and if any ministers were aware they are culpable too... I could imagine it's possible they weren't aware but we'll have to see proper evidence not claims on Twitter.

Ministers were hard at work planning their 2021 Covid response whilst all around them very junior very expendable staffers were partying like it was still 2020!

You've heard it on here first.

I'll weld Number 10 and especially Number 11 for a fiver.
