I'd say the majority did. Looking back at the numbers it's clear that the lockdowns lead to a significant fall in the spread of the virus, that wouldn't have happened if no-one was actually obeying the rules.

It's going to be much harder impose another lockdown now, there are a lot of very angry people out there and a real feeling that it was "one rule for them and another for the rest of us."

If it tries to bob and weave and duck around that duty when its inconvenient, if government does that, then so will the governed, and then nothing is safe—not home, not liberty, not life itself” Margaret Thatcher, Conservative Party Conferance 1975.

One problem quoting Maggie when we have Johnson - she had ethics even if you didn't agree with them, he has none.

        Sadly true.

Especially with the other DOOM thread on how judicial review will simply be bypassed / ignored if ministers don't like the outcome.

Only because the places we wanted to go out to had been closed by Order of The Boris. With less than a weeks notice, I might add. Still, it's nice to know the Downing Street staffers had a nice time...

Apparently Labour and the SNP are playing politics by asking Johnson to go. No they are doing their job as the opposition parties.

We had the rarest of things, a direct apology from Boris. Clearly trying to offload any blame "I was told it never happened" but still a collector's item. I wonder how many heads will roll to try and save face?
How is Keir so ineffective with such a open goal?

Agreed. That's why they've concocted all this FUD about a 'new variant' so they can scare everyone into staying home. At least that's what malvolio told me.

Since Johnson couldn't organise a p--s up in a brewery, yes he is really capable of co-ordinating with other governments around the world plus the WHO.
