The next village to us - just half a mile away - has had no power since Friday. This isn't a remote mountain hamlet, just a village a couple of miles from Durham; seems trees fell on the main transformer, and knocked over some poles, who knows what else.

I saw a seagull flying backwards on Saturday. Well I guess it was flying forwards but going backwards over the ground.
