    XR now blocking M25

    https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/climate-c...ction-off-m25/

This is the moment a group of angry motorists clash with climate change protesters at a junction near the M25.

Insulate Britain - an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion - have taken to the M25 in a stand against climate change.

Around 20 protesters sat in the middle of road in Kings Langley, causing tail backs up to the motorway, with some violence having already taken place.

They blocked the roundabout at junction 20 of the busy motorway, leading to outrage from drivers trying to use the road.

One driver is said to have left their car and attempted to grab a protester from the road and drag him away so they could continue their journey.

Other areas affected include junction three in Swanley, junction six in Godstone and junction 14 in Heathrow.

Police have since arrived to take control of the situation in Kings Langley, with around 50 officers reported to be gathering at the scene.

Talking to LBC, a protester apologised for the problems they were causing, but said they had made the extreme move to get the government's attention.

The group - which is relatively new and small - wants the government to "take responsibility for the insulation of all social housing in Britain" and create a "legally binding national plan to fully fund and take responsibility for the full low-energy and low-carbon whole-house retrofit", according to their site.

Apparently according to a "protester scientist" interviewed by Nick Ferrari it is because we don't live in a democracy and our democratically elected government are doing nothing about climate change. What they want them to do is "MORE" because its "Code red for humanity"

Hmmmm I can feel my opinion changing as we speak

Send them to Beijing! Ask them to stop building coal fired power stations.

Agree with us otherwise we have a democratic right to break the law and cause disruption to hard working people. Lock them up.

I have no policing diploma but thought it was illegal to sit and block a main road or spray graffiti on statues - breach of peace, criminal damage,
