So, the person living on rental income, selling shares, crypto, property or other assets, pays not £1 more than they did before?
Google says the government raised over £800 billion in tax revenue, only £10 billion comes from capital gains tax. While £208 Billion comes from Income tax and £150 Billion from NICs. And £161 Billion from VAT.Last edited by Fraidycat; 7 September 2021, 22:36.Comment

I suppose people are now wondering what happened to the "level up" that we were hearing about around the election, well I think that walked out the door with Cummings. Even if you didn't like Brexit, he had some good ideas - sadly never realised.Comment

So where's all the fecking £350m each week to give to the NHS after leaving the dreaded EU? Maybe use that pot of money eh? What now, that was all made up?

Right now debate is on BBC parliament on this issue
BoJo is displaying his buffoonery
In this parallel universe , Labour MPs are talking about NHS reforms , BoJo completely ignores it. Labour MP talks about negative impact on jobs due to this extra tax BoJo says there are plenty of jobs.Comment

They have already had a lot of it but the NHS swallowed it and demanded more.
https://fullfact.org/health/nhs-engl...-million-more/
The government has committed to spending £20.5 billion more on NHS England in 2023/24 compared to 2018/19, which works out as £394 million per week more by the end of that period. That’s not the same as £394 million every week between now and 2023/24.
The issue here is that the NHS should reform as Nick Ferrari suggested we should get decent NHS management not more cash.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

NHS T&T blew £13 billion in its first failed year.
Multiple PPE contracts were given to new companies with no experience, without going to tender.
Ventilators were offered from UK companies, but were rejected in favour of Dyson designing ones.
Shall we go on?
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
