A lot less locals will work for CiA/etc now - not just there but around the world, frankly flying drones might become a problem if Iran supplies modern anti aircraft weaponry.

I expect China to take advantage of how weak the US now is and move on Taiwan within the next three years while Biden is still president. His mental decline and incompetence is only going to get worse.

The drones are miles up and can be very small. A gliding /falling drone the size of hand grenade will be difficult to hit dropped from a high altitude platform, same for small explosives on mini rockets.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

They found Osama in Pakistan they didn't need grunts on the ground. They only sent in soldiers to make a positive identification and not upset the Pakistanis, turning to house to dust without a picture of Osama laying in it wouldn't go too well internationally.
Almost certainly the Taliban, AQ etc will strike abroad now they aren't tied down in Afghanistan, I suspect a biblical level Shock & Awe attack in response, The US should have stayed there 40 years and kept a lid on until it stabilised.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

"Taliban now has access to $85 billion of American military equipment
As the US makes an emergency exit from Afghanistan, it leaves behind 75,000 vehicles, 200 airplanes and helicopters and 600,000 small arms
The Taliban now has access to $85 billion worth of American military equipment and the biometric data of the Afghans who have assisted soldiers over the past 20 years, a Republican congressman has warned.
Jim Banks, a former US Navy reservist, said that the vast amount of hardware left behind includes 75,000 vehicles, 200 airplanes and helicopters and 600,000 small arms and light weapons.
“The Taliban now has more Black Hawk helicopters than 85 per cent of the countries in the world,” he said in a speech in Washington.
Other equipment seized by the Taliban includes night-vision goggles, body armour and medical supplies, he said."

Yeah, that's exactly what SpecOps needed there, not. Now those locally trained instructors will be (as if they had a choice) will be providing their training to Taliban.
All that to get Biden's victory speech on 20th anniversary of 9/11.
