DOOM: WW3 fears as China threatens to NUKE Japan

CHINA is threatening to NUKE Japan on the eve of the Olympics if it intervenes in conflict with Taiwan, it has been revealed in a new video.

The communist republic said that it would declare "full-scale war" against Japan if the Taiwan disagreement escalates, stoking World War Three fears.

    A more balanced assessment here

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-...reat/100299646

There is a genre of social media influencer in China that can be described as "military fanboys" and one account recently shared a video in which the narrator threatened nuclear war with Japan.

Then, an official Chinese government account — albeit that of a small, municipal authority in the country's north-west — reposted the highly inflammatory video.

The message: If Tokyo steps in to defend Taiwan against China, "nuclear weapons will surely be used against Japan".

Did Beijing use the local government account to share propaganda and send a message to the world, or did a low-level official just go a little rogue?

Tom Sear, a cyber propaganda and China expert from the University of New South Wales, said it could be both.

Isn't there a proper thread for this kind of thing? Called "WW3 imminent" or something similar

China tried to invade Taiwan in 1958. It didn't end too well https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second..._Strait_Crisis

That was before the world became dangerously dependent on Taiwan for electronics. I expect the US will never let China invade for this reason.

But what can the US do if China invades Taiwan?

China has nukes and spends $250 billion a year on military, that is more than Russia, UK, Japan and France combined.

China wont do it yet, they will wait for the right time, when the US is weaker and they are stronger.

                • Would Washington risk New York for Taipei?
                • If the US was obliterated and lost all of its 328 million people & then China lost the same amount, China would still have 1 billion people left to rebuild

More doom, the UK is acting hard again on the world stage :

Britain WILL defy Beijing by sailing HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier task force through disputed international waters in the South China Sea - and deploy ships PERMANENTLY in the region

What would the UK do if China decided to sink that carrier?

Lets hope its a combined international operation to keep the Chinese in check as we don't stand a chance on our own.

China building more than 100 ‘nuclear’ missile silos in desert

A strongly worded letter with thin veiled threats to cut Chinese visas if they do it again?
