Thought that it would be fun to swim from Greenwich to CW so jumped into thames. Water was a bit cold and changed my mind shortly afterwards.

Whales are used to swimming in denser salt water. They literally sink in fresh/brackish water, and being mammals don't have a swim bladder to correct the issue.
