I see Labou are celebrating like they won a GE, that they barely held onto a very safe seat.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
Because he is very good at campaigning.
When he took the London seat of Oona King, he flooded the people in the local area with leaflets.
Unfortunately some people can't think for themselves so listen to the last person who spoke to them or canvassed them.Last edited by SueEllen; 2 July 2021, 09:32."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I'd imagine there was probably at least 324 people who voted for her solely on the basis she was Jo's sister, IIRC she wasn't even a labour member until a week before she was announced as their candidateOriginally posted by d000hg View PostI see Labou are celebrating like they won a GE, that they barely held onto a very safe seat.Originally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?

This. I doubt Labour would have won with any other candidate.Originally posted by SimonMac View Post

That was always going to happen and I'm a little surprised he didn't get more. He's always appealed to the Asian community. He won the Bradford West by election in 2012 with is Respect party so he's got form for championing the communities issues and knows them. The Asian Communities also work differently in many areas including politics which George knows. There is more of a clan mentality so once you get the nod of certain people clan politics come in to it.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostHow the **** did George Galloway manage to get 21% of the votes!
Here's an article about his Bradford West win which goes someway to explain how he did so well this time.
