It often would reflect responsibility in a permie role, if less so in a contract role I'd say.

I am reminded of American Beauty where he goes to get a job in the local burger joint and is asked if he isn't rather over-qualified "I want a job with the least possible responsibility"

      No it isn't.

You clearly have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The patients are end of life, some only days left, some slightly longer left to live. I don't get the mentality to say those that are caring for them are vultures ..... you really have lost the plot my friend.

Most get CHC but most likely emergency CHC to cover the end of life care costs. CHC is funded by councils and not those being cared for.

I would suggest if you don't know what you're talking about then maybe keep your mouth shut eh?

You’ve obviously not been in that situation and met these people. I genuinely hope you never have to.

When you’re desperately trying to get treatment and some bitch with pound signs in her eyes is going on about how nice their hospice is and you can do finger-painting etc. Well, you would hate them too.

What benefits are you entitled to on 70k?

Anyway, I'd have thought somebody with contract experience would long realise that fun/satisfaction really doesn't correlate with pay.

a pension that inflation is eating out of. Private health insurance that you get the same treatment as NHS but the receptionist has better teeth.

Overall nothing in particular that would save you money. Paid holiday would probably be the only part.

No, you're right, I've not recently cared for my wife through end of life and worked very closely with these care staff, both NHS and private care providers. Good point. What do I know?

I am sorry to hear. I am 31 and for me is useless or hope to never have to use it. If it actually comes to it and I will need specialist care I am sure I will end-up back at the NHS.

So for me personally it is useless.

I am sorry to hear that, I've seen your posts, it is part of life... what can you do. We'll all be there one day.

Enough to bump it up to the same take home as £130,000 per year.

Why does nobody ever read the original post?

When they said “it’s a happy place” for the fifth time, how did you stop yourself from punching them in the face?
