        WTF.

The democrats eg Biden and Pelosi took the knee to win the Black US vote.

Did Starmer forget he is in the UK, Blacks in the UK are not being murdered on the regular by police in the UK.

They should stick with him, his brand of dull managerial stuff will do OK in a GE. Esp in more normal times. And he is the best they have got. Still wont win though as Boris is too popular a figure
Who is "they" though? A large proportion of the activist Labour Party think Starmer is miles too right wing for them, despite Corbyn's obviously woeful popularity ratings among voters at large.

I think they just compromised, assuming that they could force him into radical stuff later.

Given that at least two of the larger Unions have pulled their funding of the party, isn't it about time that they split into a neo-communist party and neo-liberal party. That would show just how much left wing nonsense is unworkable/un-votable?

Let us hope this doesn't get any traction.

                https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-movement.html

They still don’t get it! Diane Abbott says Keir Starmer must start campaigning to bring back EU free movement rules as part of a 'winning strategy' after string of losses in Brexit-backing former heartlands
                • The hard Left former shadow home secretary had plenty of advice for leader
                • Comments came after labour was mauled in Leave-backing former heartlands
                • Hartlepool, which voted 69.5% for Leave in 2016, went Tory, as did Dudley
That would have helped with Hartlepool!

Racism is still rife here though and that's what the knee thing is about. Loads of sports teams have been doing it in the UK, for instance (and in some cases getting booed for it).
