Smile - you're on Jihadi Camera! Outcry in Iraq over prank TV show that has fake ISIS fighters 'kidnap' celebs, strap 'suicide vests' to them and tell them they'll be executed

    • A celebrity is filmed visiting the home of a family for a charitable project
    • Once inside, actors disguised as jihadists pounce, before the ruse is revealed

Probably because they took it from a news site other than the BBC. You'll probably find every BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera etc. article on the Daily Mail site in some form or other.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

Not the sort of thing the Beeb would commission. Channel 4 probably would take a punt on it though

Like 'Guantanamo: I'm a Jihadi - Get me Out of Here' sort of thing?

Why is it news worthy it's a prank. The sort of thing though I would expect on the front page of the Daily Mail, so that the readers can be outraged over an issue of unimportance.
          I'm alright Jack

It's 'news' in that we are being informed of a new TV show. How else would we know about Japanese game shows, whatever it is that Nigella's up to this week, or when the next virtue signalling episode of Dr Who is coming?

Oohh I can almost see your veins bulging. Its a prank in the same way Beadles about or candid camera were. It is a real show.

As a Daily Mail reader I'm just surprised anyone would think it was television worthy, people actually paid for this to be filmed. The Iraqis are quite right to be angry.

It is in extremely bad taste.
