Pubs that check Covid status may be allowed to drop social distancing

I believe that nurseries are allowed to - and some do - prevent unvaccinated children from attending. I think this might happen more widely in some other countries as well. I'm not against it.

There are no mandatory vaccine policies for school nurseries and early years providers in the UK as it would fall foul of disability discrimination law.

My former GP practice did remove families of their books if they refused vaccinations for their children, however this is not any medical body or unions policy.

OK - I thought some nurseries did ban non MMR kids, but perhaps they weren't supposed to.

Nurseries and schools do what they like but it doesn't mean it is legal.

However most parents don't have the stamina(?) and knowledge to take on a legal fight with them, while trying to find their child alternative provision.

It's not just that, it's also the riveting intellectual conversations that comes with their clientele. It's always nice to hear the views and stories of the old folks who fought in WW1 whilst I'm mopping up my egg with fried bread

There are lots of family pubs in my area and at least half the staff are definitely under 30. This is one of the last groups to get vaccinated.




I know plenty of teenagers who as soon as they were 18 got jobs in pub/bars.

The current vaccination policy excludes them.

I wasn't talking about 18 year olds. You mentioned 16/17 year olds in your post and I wondered why you were worrying about them being excluded from pubs.
