She may be enititled to citizenship of another country but she doesn't HAVE citizenship of another country. Effectively, the government has made her stateless and that is illegal.
This is a dangerous ruling that sets a potentially equally dangerous precedent.Comment

What she get the same treatment if her parents, grandparents and great grandparents were all white British with no links to any other country but the UK?

Many were entitled to British citizenship though.
Its like passing the driving test, not applying for a licence then being upset because you are prosecuted for driving without a licence. To be fair nobody in 50 years asked to see their license or reminded them they needed one.
This shows just how easy it is to live in the UK without valid papers and why we should tighten up.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

So some other country now has to support a British home-grown terrorist. We're dumping our rubbish on other countries. She was radicalised in Britain. She should be brought back to Britain to face legal proceedings and be imprisoned at the cost of the British government.

I'll bite on that vetran post regarding windrush etc.
I think labelling people on newspapers they read, or labels like "leftie" is very dangerous by the way - but I'm proud to call myself a liberal socialist, and socialist does not equate to communist , or wanting rid of capitalism, the same way that being conservative / right does not make you a facist or nationalist. Moderation is the key to everything and our way of distributing resources right now, creates greed and inhumanity - so it doesn't work.
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in my circles who thinks that this lady should have citizenship - I've just described myself as a liberal socialist, but I'm also ex military and honestly, I'd be happy with treason charges - the contempt is unbelievable.
Back off topic-
You are showing your ignorance on the Windrush scandal. But its not really just about "windrush" as a whole.
Windrush was retribution really, for Jamaica breaking away from the commonwealth / british colonies.
Jamaica is very complicated, and we did and do act very poorly on this - until 1962 everyone was British, because it was a colony. There are only 40,000 Jamaicans in Jamaica today, of the 300,000 population who are not British citizens by ancestry and birthright. Windrush is only really relevant for 11 years, on the minority that are "pure" jamacians, born post 1962.
I hate posting facts like this, but feel some kind of "lefty" need - I just hope its 100% correct. Google it though, "British Jamaicans" , or any offshore territory, with 2 exceptions that I know of - Bermuda and Cayman Islands, where they have citizenship of the UK , if they want it (they don't) but you don't have citizenship there on your passport.Comment

Equally, international law prohibits the deportation of anybody who is stateless. Where would you even deport them to? Do we really want to set a precedent where countries start removing the citizenship of people who have committed crimes overseas? Imagine the tabloid hysteria when a foreigner murders someone in the UK, serves their time and then cannot be deported at the end of their sentence - as would usually happen - because they have been made stateless in the meantime. You can't have it both ways.Comment
