My AZ jab was canceled two Friday's ago (due on the Monday) following the gov ban on under 40s. I was on the waitlist at a couple of local surgeries for surplus anyway. Got a phone call Wednesday 15 minutes later phizered in the arm. Very mild side effects, mainly a sore arm.

I thought the over 60s had their 2nd jab months ago.

Nope, just had my invite a couple of days ago.

If you recall, the originally planned 3 week interval was increased to 12 weeks, to give first jabs to younger age groups.

(Not disputing that was a good idea)

Got me pfizer done yesterday. Very calm, very organised - vaccination centre split left/right into AZ and PF.
Bit of an ache in the arm, it was briefly aching all the way up my shoulder last night and I felt a bit.. odd for a few hours but that could be psychosomatic or unrelated.

Wow - You get a choice?! I think my first was AstraZenica, so if I have a choice I'd probably go for a different one.

That's not that I think AZ is less effective, but it's probably better to hedge one's bets and give the virus more to worry about.

I had AZ both times after the first jab I had shivers and headaches for about 2 days not terrible but annoying. After the second I was fine.

It's automatically decided as you go in - you're told A/B - presumably based mainly on age or special conditions. I wasn't too bothered but as they just brought in PF for <40s I caught the change. I imagine if I asked for AZ I could have had that, not sure.
