You just showed us the “global temperature” anomaly. You can’t even separate between space and time. Leave the concept of scale for the big boys and girls, eh? Atmospheric teleconnections and long-term climate are two different things with different generating mechanisms. You can average over different temporal and spatial scales and see different things. It’s like talking to scootie about asset prices

I realise that name calling on the forum is the desired outcome of most 'conversations'. I would like to point out that no matter how learned you think you are, until you start address the root cause of these phenomenon then you are as intellectually challenged as your targets.

How many years has it been since the daily global temperature was this low?

My heating failed so I rang up the central heating company to come and urgently fix it as it was just 4 degrees but they said it wasn't necessary because the 5 day moving average was over 18 degrees.

I hope you're not in charge of anything important, BB.

            You're not a serious person.

Gr8 thx for that feedback, much appreciated, and your longterm prediction of the oil price in 2015 was

              a) spot on
              b) a load of codswollop based on a misinterpretation of "temporal and spatial scales"

You can correlate (or inversely correlate) anything

True, but the correlation of the population of humans and green house gas emissions is more likely to be valid don't you think?

I think the solution to the problem is for everyone to buy more bitcoin.

I've seen Day After Tomorrow 3 times, I know all about this stuff.
Is it a fact that the average global temperature now is higher than it has been, on say a ten year moving average, since at least 0 AD? Yes.
Does that indicate there's more energy in the global weather system than previously? Yes.
Does that lead to more extreme weather? Yes.
Does that mean we should expect, according to the maths, periods of lower than usual and higher than usual temperatures? Yes.
                      Are we experiencing this? Yes.

Now. Which of those do you disagree with? Please show your working.

                      Well over 2000 years.
