So how does this scam work?
OK, it could be AtW opening another revenue stream - but how does this scam work.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation! -
Step 1 will be that you'll need to give them your bank details so they can pay you. And they've established you have to have a pucker address so they can check you're on the Electoral Register.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostOK, it could be AtW opening another revenue stream - but how does this scam work.
Probably then some phishing? -
Well, how do they propose to pay you and when?
Perhaps it's simply a ploy to get name+address?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Phone number is handy as then you can phone up pretending to be the bank responding to a security breach and trick some other banking info off them.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI wonder if having your name, address and some bank details is enough to commit fraud?Comment

Apparently just an address is enough for some payday loan scumbags to lend to someone apparently at that address.Comment

A few years back, when living in the UK, I found a negative entry or whatever on my credit report. Somebody had used my name with incorrect DoB and wrong address (but same postal district) to get a Next account set up. And then obviously not paid the bill. IIRC I had to complain to the Information Commissioner to sort it out.Originally posted by vetran View PostApparently just an address is enough for some payday loan scumbags to lend to someone apparently at that address.Comment
