£3 to leave Bradford or Luton sounds like the bargain of the century!

Leeds-Bradford International is adjacent to Yeadon. I was up there for a month or two on a contract in 2009. There were a couple of very good chip shops on the edge of town right next to the Premier Inn, a good butcher's shop on the main drag, and the New Inn on Cemetery Road was a nice local pub

I don't know anywhere nice near Luton Airport, at least not any nearer than Woburn

Just dropped my daughter at the airport, was in there for about 5 mins and was charged £3 to get out of the car park !!!

What the ****ity **** ?

It's also got to be the worst airport in the world ! Any suggestions for worse ones in the UK ?

There's a one hour free parking area by the long term car park about 3 minutes walk from the terminal. Enter the concourse road though and you'll need a credit card to get out

The M1 is nice, when it’s not busy, and is useful for getting you as far away from Luton as possible

And Heathrow, Gatwick and quite possibly Stansted, which I have thus far managed to avoid.

Luton (also owned by the Australian company AMP), Glasgow (sold to the Spanish), Belfast (sold to the French).

Glasgow isn't so bad.

All the local parking here in Oban is free at the moment to encourage folks back to the high street.

I like Oban. Did a lovely drive last year with HWMBO from Glasgow to Fort William with a number of stops along the way, Oban being one of them. Is the Oban Chocolate Shop still going?
