“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
The whole point of this thread really was to show how ****ed up the British right wing media is and how gullible, you, the general public are
It has all happened before but the right wing media are just basically tulip scared of Corbyn:

BTW, here's good old Boris with an actual Russian spy:
And here he is with 'a person of interest' to the FBI in regards to Russia-Trump:

Or here:
Also, if my statement was so wrong and the idea of increasing the uni fees as high as possible was such a great idea, then why does your beloved party who can do no wrong think that their idea of tripling fees hasn't worked and that they should now review it?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Lets get one thing straight. Universities are for academic pursuits. If you want a career in academia then it's the place for you (unless you are independently wealthy and do not require any career). If on the other hand you want a career in the real world there are plenty of options.Comment

The man's a nonentity and a figurehead. Look to his paymasters.

And I dispute that the history and opinions of someone who actively supports people that are trying to subvert democracy and holds up the ruin that is Venezuela as a model society to aspire to are "hardly important". He is a fool fighting battles that were over 50 years ago. Which is why the people behind him - who, you notice, have a very low profile despite being in the shadow cabinet - are the real danger.
Corbyn, like Millipede, is the Tories best election asset.
It doesn't cost much at all to make the poorest twice as well off since 2x FA is FABlog? What blog...?Comment

Beyond that, the "massive drop" was, in fact, a marginal decline after a marginal rise the prior year, which preempted the announced change. No different to a warned change in tax policy. Some students delayed their gap years.
Truly, an unpredictable event.

The reality is that UK universities are well-funded, based on international comparisons, and that the system is highly progressive, because those students that benefit least, financially, from their choices, end up paying the least.
To answer your question directly about "why": because this government is swinging in the wind of misguided public opinion more than your average government. Ordinarily, comrade Corbyn would be correctly dismissed as a total fruitloop, but the polling suggests otherwise. In that sense, I agree with darmstadt about the "general public". They're idiots. Particularly those that can hear no wrong from the absolute boy.Comment
