Can I reffer the right honorable gentleman to the answer I gave moments ago.

                No.

Hammond says he is abolishing stamp duty for first-time buyers for properties worth up to £350,000.
And people buying a home worth up to £500,000 will not have to pay stamp duty on the first £350,000. He says this is to help people in markets like London.

Nice headline tax break, but in reality does a £5k tax cut really address the problem of first time buyers not being able to afford property (down south anyway)?

Also, no duty on first 300k of a house up to 500k, aimed at FTBs in London/SE.
