I would dispute that. The 3rd largest bar bill I've ever seen was paid happily by SimonMac

No 2 belonged to Chris Evans on the sale of Virgin Radio as we used the pub next door as our local. He left a grand for regulars to apologise for the closure on the day of the announcement...

Well you were only generous because there was only 2 of us in the pub, and even then I didn't think that I could push it beyond a Babycham..

(And there's never been a problem with SimonMac paying for his round, maybe looks of pain and wincing as he put his wallet back in his pocket but that's all.)

I find if you let him pick the bar and then ensure he's drunk more than anyone else he can be happily convinced into paying...
