    My pet hate du jour...

    It seems you can't perform the most trivial business transaction these days without being presented with a War and Peace sized feedback form to fill in and all the subsequent reminders you get when you don't fill the fecker in.

    And worse still, it's not confined to the online world. Just the other day I went to the local carpet shop to order a carpet & just as I was about to leave I heard the words "If you wouldn't mind just completing our customer satisfaction survey..."

    Where's it going to end?

    The worst one is CUK yearly customer satisfaction form. The results are then ignored and the winner is the one who bribes admin the most.

      Funnily enough we were talking about this the other day at a mods meeting, thinking about putting in a customer satisfaction survey for people who get infractions.
      If they don't say they are completely satisfied with the mod team and give us excellent marks, then the infraction increases.

      Sounds reasonable enough.

      How do you rate the idea?

        "completely satisfied" of course. No-one cares about infractions as they are meaningless.

        I thought at those "meetings" there was no talking done?

          Tell them that you are currently satisfied but if they want to delay you with a survey your satisfaction will be much reduced. i.e. in itself it is a poor customer experience.

          Should confuse them just long enough for you to smile and walk away.
          Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

            I'm not too bothered by online satisfaction surveys, if they're simple. But the really annoying ones are phone surveys, as these are often laboriously slow and often you don't know how many more questions are left.

            Also, some online retailers have taken to forwarding your personal details to specialist third party survey and recommendation sites. Haven't seen this myself yet, but if I did I wouldn't do the survey and would promptly stop dealing with the offending retailer.

              You could save some time and remove any positive responses from the 'How did you rate the experience of receiving your infraction?' question. I've a feeling you won't be receiving a 100% customer satisfaction in this area

              I'd apply the swear filter to the comments section as well...

                  Took my mate into a walk in centre on Sunday as he had experienced pain in his hand for a week or so. They asked him to fill in a survey. He said "How can I do that now? I've only just got in, I'll fill it in when we finish".

                  I'm still convinced that this is why he was still there 4 hours later watching peiople who had come in after him getting seen first. I went and complained.... And then filled in the survey for him. Like you do when they walk out with a rather large lump of plastic around their hand. It wasn't a good one....
