Make every adult Muslim resident of the UK register as such with their mosque and pay what amounts to a surety or bond on behalf of their community.
Then every time there is a terrorist incident like this, where the perp turns out to be muslim, some or all the bond is forfeit and they must pay a load more.
That in effect, or something very similar, is how William the Conqueror, with only a few thousand soldiers, subdued a nation of a million or more warlike and irate Saxons!
The comparison may sound quaint, and perhaps slightly ridiculous, but human nature hasn't changed, and any person or community who risks losing a load of money will be far more likely to report any suspicions and cooperate with the authorities.Comment

As a parent I ask myself if there is anything I can teach my kids to help them in a situation like this.
Things like proper first aid skills, and street smart skills.
Remember that tragic ferry sink in South Korea with all the kids blindly following the crews orders to stay where they were.
For instance I always count the number of seats to the nearest emergency exit - so that I can count them by feel if the room/cabin was filled with smoke.Comment

Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostChances are the perp was a British native and the explosives were sourced locally. Even easier to achieve, and more likely to succeed than crossing a border. If this was a attack by a Muslim (as seems likely), the only connection to immigration is probably his parents or grandparents.Comment

May gets to display 'strong and stable', Corbyn gets to answer difficult IRA/ISIS questions.
Perfect timing with some polls showing a Labour swing, whatever that is.Comment
