May signals She won't give more brexit details

German colleagues I have spoken to are saddened by Britain's intention to leave, but, their main point now is... just get on with it and leave so that Europe can move forward

They don't hold high hopes that Britain will be better off outside the EU, but on the otherside are open minded that if it does lead to something positive then that will be great

Main thing is, they want Britain to get Brexit over with as soon as possible so that everybody can move forward.

To add something, they see no reason why a Brexit Britain should enjoy the same benefits as an EU Britain has.

Pity they aren't pushing their government to get on with it, we could of agreed reciprocal arrangements for existing EU citizens and an outline exit strategy by now. Of course the EU doesn't want to negotiate until after Article 50 is triggered and are just thinking up ways to punish us for daring to leave, presenting imaginary bills and moving everything they can out of the UK.

Theresa May is set to ensure her Brexit plans cannot be blocked by Remainers after a series of watertight Tory manifesto pledges were revealed today.

The Prime Minister is set to include pledges that will lock party members and peers into backing her stance as the UK withdraws from the European Union.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Mrs May’s manifesto will include guarantees to end free movement of EU citizens, to leave the European single market, and to end the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice.

It will stiff the Lords by doing it that way. They can't block things that are in the manifesto of a successfully elected party and if they try the Parliament Act will be used. Her own rebel backbenchers will also be emasculated since they either support her or lose the Whip.

It's a smart move in many ways, not counting the impact on the other no-hopers (Corbyn? Farron? Robertson? ) that will be forming some form of opposition.

Why should they? It's an EU thing not on a country by country basis

It's not a smart move to clear the road ahead so you can drive off a cliff. But that's the way it's going.
