Have you checked the debt to savings ratio of this country's population? Nobody's going to protest, because they are busy trying to pay off their credit cards and mortgages. Have you noticed how students are not protesting anymore ever since they have been saddled with student loans? The last time this country saw a proper protest must have been the Poll Tax riots. You're awesome! Get yourself a t-shirt. -

So, if Gibraltar voted to stay in the EU, rather than become Spanish, Norwegian or any of your other suggestions, would you still say that the UK government should support the will of the people of Gibraltar?Originally posted by vetran View PostIf Gibraltar voted to become Spanish I would happily wave them off, just as if the Falklands wanted to become Argentinian or the Scots want to become part of Norway.
If Gibraltar wants to stay we should allow them & protect them. That is what decent people do.
Spanish want to force Gibraltar to become part of them. Should we let them.
The correct response to this was for the British Government to have said to the EU 'I thought you wanted to do this professionally'…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Of Course I would. If there is an impact on the UK people then that needs to be discussed but we have to respect democracy. Pity the EU & some bremoaners don't.Originally posted by WTFH View PostSo, if Gibraltar voted to stay in the EU, rather than become Spanish, Norwegian or any of your other suggestions, would you still say that the UK government should support the will of the people of Gibraltar?Comment

Pity some of the Brexiters are blaming the EU and Remain voters, while denying the same people democracy.Originally posted by vetran View PostOf Course I would. The remain voters are blaming brexit for Spain's land grab.
How are we denying democracy?Comment

The "Democratic will" of the people of Gibraltar is shown above.
An overwhelming vote in favour of remaining British............with all that this means...........including the popular will to Brexit.
Nobody is denying the Gibraltarians democracy..............except the Spanish, aided and abetted by the EU it seems.
Do try and keep up.

wonder if the Gibraltans will want to stay in the EU once they realise it will gift them to the Spanish?Originally posted by shaunbhoy View Posthttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibral...ferendum,_2002
