I’m supposed to be having a day off but I can see the wife switching into full shopping mode. Curses! And there I was going for a cycle ride, brief pint in the local, reading the paper, bit of editing of my custom DM-Goatswood map... oh well...

You and Mrsgoof were very funny las night - it made me chuckle

Well my BMI is 31, but according to thier figures when I was 19 and doing 2-3 hours of physical exercise a day my BMI was 28. Considering that at the time I was skinny as a rake and had a 32" waist I tend to think of BMI as as a load of old tosh.

I'm overweight at the moment, but that does not mean that i'm not fit, and that I don't have a healthy diet. I'm just not as fit as I used to be and my metabolism has probably slowed down as I have got older leading to me gaining some weight.

Have you noticed that everyone with a high BMI has made an excuse about BMI being inaccurate

Yes per volume muscle is heaver, my BMI comes out as 25.3 which means I'm slightly overweight. But, I go to the gym 4 times a week and use weights. On elctromagnetic measuring equipment my body fat is around 16%, which is def not overweight. BMI tells you little about lean body mass.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Probably because those of us who were extemely active while younger and have now put on a bit of weight have BMI's that imply we are substantially more overweight than we are.

Note that I did not say I was not overweight, just that i'm not as overweight as my BMI implies.
