Whose fault?
90% idiot father not realising his lad was only ever destined to be a gardener.
10% school for taking the fees even though they must have realised he was either thick, lazy or both.
Oh, and the other 100% the kid. 1 Grade C in science? There are amphibians who can do better than that

SO I've got a million quid here, my sprog can't even tie his own shoelaces together at the ages of 11 but surely that million quid will result in 'thickie holden' being able to marry quantum mechanics and general relativity... money well spent!

That's even worse. In my day it was O levels, and everything below a C was regarded as a fail.

I like to tell my sprogs that. Winds them up no end. Though quite happy with my first born's A*s.

In most employers eyes below a C is still a fail....

Or whatever mark is equivalent to a C anyway
