.... I actually made my first "Voice Purchase" using my Alexa the other day.

My daughter was shouting: "Daaaaaad, DAAAD, I can't find a hairbrush!" ( repeat for 5 minutes with increasing levels of teenage angst ).

Like I would know where one is? I'm bald and haven't used one since 1998. So I eventually replied: "Alexa, Find me a hairbrush"

And Alexa replied saying she's found a Tresemay Brush and it's only £5. And most importantly "Would you like to buy it?"

So I said "Yes" and the next day it turned up!

Amazing. Is that not living in the future? And also it's why Amazon will completely dominate retail over the coming decades.

I like Alexa. Mainly because I have 3 teenage daughters and Alexa is the only thing in the house that will listen to me, then do as I ask without arguing.
