Personally I find the saddest thing to be families who are torn apart. An EU national not knowing if they'll be allowed to remain staying here and vice versa an expat on the continent. Pawns in a rich mans game being made to exist in limbo. It is gut wrenching.

The EU could fix that in minutes but they dare not abandon their ideology.

I announced the divorce. I'm now demanding benefits and favourable conditions from the divorcee!

          WTF?!

No, we are talking an amicable amnesty between the EU and UK whereby residents in each circumstance have the right to remain. This is fair, very fair, and reasonable.

It should not even be a discussion. But it is. And it'll not be amicable. Not in your dreams. Mayhem made it clear yesterday, we don't get our way pram toys will fly.

                Milan.

May has made it clear previously that we would like to sort the issue first the EU replied "We aren't talking to you until after you file for divorce"

Leaving an abusive spouse its definitely the best analogy.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Look there was a vote, we are now leaving the EU. If you feel embarrassed explaining this to people from different countries, don't, it's how democracy works. There are plenty of people in Europe that have doubts about it, real doubts.

Some of you seem to be getting into a downward spiral of depression and misery, group think in turn reinforcing your miserable attitudes. I happen to think that Britain is a trading nation and new goal of actually pursing trade and economic success could be an exciting thing. If we continued with EU, we would eventually have to adopt the euro, integrate our defenses and then move more decision making into Europe. When I say Europe I mean Germany.

If you look at the way Germany has handled Greece, it's amazing there hasn't been an outcry. Lend money to countries that can't afford it, which they then use to buy German goods. When the economy collapses move in and effectively sell off their assets and run their country to protect the banks and gain control. It's just amazing. This isn't a lovable, squeezable Europe at all.

Anyway, on your bikes and start making some money. Your country needs you, well some of you, maybe a couple. Oh just stop moaning.

The main reason I want brexit to be over quick is to see what excuses the Government will find for:

                      NHS crisis
                      Housing crisis
Failing to stop NET migration figures rising
                      School places crisis
                      Public transport quality of service

Till date it was very convenient to blame everything on the EU for decades. I bet it will be blamed on the harsh deal the evil EU "imposed" during Brexit for at least a decade. But what after that?
