In nude saunas it's fine to wrap your naked flesh in a towel if you're shy.

A friend explained that but there was no signs in the hotel.
Usually I use a towel but in that day I used bikini because I went to the swimming pool first.

I don't see any difference between a towel and a bikini if I'm not going to expose all my "fruit", I mean, if the idea is to have everybody naked.

I think it's more to do with (ideas of) hygiene. Every sauna I've visited provides towels for you to use.

Daftest thing I saw was in an Austrian mixed nude sauna where some women (I think they were Dutch), wrapped towels around their swimming costumes, so people would not know they weren't nude.

On a different note, I remember visiting a Greek restaurant in Germany with some American friends. I noticed their son was going rather red in the face - he'd spotted a statue with bare breasts.

Besides all the cultural shocks on here… I apologies...

I was in a hotel in Germany and I decided to put my bikini and went to the sauna, when I arrived the sauna was empty, after a few minutes a naked man entered in the sauna and I started panicking like “Oh no I’m in the men’s sauna”, after a few seconds another naked man entered (OOOH tulip NOOO)…followed by a naked women (OK), that’s when I remembered that in Germany the saunas are mixed with all the “fruit” visible.

Do you have anny funny situations to share?

We were perturbed by the "speedo only" rule for men in Finland. No shorts allowed. Ugh.
