Fantastic piece of business by Mercedes to be fair. Works out as cheap as a Mondeo for a C-Class, which in today's society of want/must have makes it a no-brainer for many. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist -
It's not just Mercs - its all cars.Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostWhat amazed me is that 80% plus of new Mercs are bought with PCP. Doesn't anyone actually buy their car anymore?

I bought this one outright with an online discount of 6K - which is fine if you don't want a new car every 3 years.
If I keep it for 5/6 years, that's relatively cheap/reliable motoring.
May get a "play" car on a lease though - quite fancy the Fiat 124Last edited by sasguru; 1 September 2016, 09:50.Hard Brexit now!

Well she had a big laugh, as did everyone else I'm sure, when I showed her the thread where you demonstrated your fantastic negotiating skills with agents.Originally posted by Mordac View PostHow could she possibly have any concept of "too big"?

I had a C-class loan car when the CLS was in for a service, and although the interior was well put together, I agree it is a little bling - too shiny for me, the CLS is much classier and more traditional. Sitting in a new E, I think it is better than the C, but generally not as much to my tastes as the CLS.......Originally posted by sasguru View PostYup, the sales figures are showing that.
Have a new model C-class estate at the moment. Wanted an E, but missus thought it was too big.
The interior is beginning to grate though - it's a little too bling, I would prefer a more classic approach.
Otherwise it's all good.latest-and-greatest solution (TM) kevpuk 2013Comment

Jags come with a no quibble 30% off list price to staff of one of the big IT shops. Cheapest one is about 20 K list new, so about 14 K after discount... which isnt too bad. Pity anyone paying nearer list price though.Comment

Unless its a brand new model just out, with a lot of demand, anyone paying list is an idiot.Originally posted by CoolCat View PostJags come with a no quibble 30% off list price to staff of one of the big IT shops. Big discounts online and even in dealers.
Trick is not to have a p/e, because then dealers have you by the danglies.Hard Brexit now!
