May was Home Secretary when the Tories claimed they would cut immigration to 10k per year, yet non-EU immigration (which she should be able to control without leaving the EU) is still hovering around 280k.

If the "big business" party really wanted to control cheap labour coming into the country, they already would have. This is still all smoke and mirrors.

So if you look closely at why we wanted to brexit

        1) Not to have laws/civil liberties dictated to us by a central european government - ok that will be interesting but strangely euro government has been real quite since the vote
        2) More control over our borders - ooh look that is not ' We must have a points based immigration system' but we want more control over our borders.
        3) Not be a part of a club where we put more in than we take out and to use the money we save to help our NHS and other services.

So you seem to be making something out of nothing really.

But then I suppose that is how socialism works.

What, the abandonment of the policy of balancing the books is not emergency enough for you?
Let's see what Hammond's autumn budget brings.
          Hard Brexit now!

It really is very simple, if you locate a firm in a country based on certain strategic factors and those factors change, you re asses accordingly. Many of these firms located in the UK for a number of factors including the flexible labor laws, skilled workforce and the UK's membership of the single market. If the UK is no longer part of the single market, they will re-asses if it's still makes strategic sense to remain here. That's just simple business strategic management.

I was promised an emergency budget and it's 2 months late!

I also want £100m / week extra on the NHS. Not overly concerned how immigration works as long as we have the right of control. I would like them to cut down on ict visas first and that isn't even an eu issue.

Once we are free from the shackles of the EU, we can move to a 7' 1/4" gauge and see how the foreign train manufacturers like that!

I thought a lot of it was because we gave them massive subsidies and big contracts to build stuff for us.

As our exported goods are now cheaper you would have thought it sensible to be based here.
