You can already ignore it. There's no agreement over parking fines with the EEA.

For the same reason, I don't have to worry about speeding cameras when I drive my car in the UK. Although the other way around, the Swiss do keep a record and will stop you at the border and invite you to pay any outstanding fines + admin charges.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

The fine is against YOU, not your company. You must pay it out of your own pocket.

Of course you can ignore. And if you don't expect you'll rent again in Italy...

I've had Hertz deduct penalties from my credit card after the state sent them a fine for my exceeding the speed limit.

Which, coincidently, is what he was car parking for. He saved EUR40 by going with a polish girl. But she had trouble undoing the shackles making him 3 minutes late.

Next time, opt for an Italian girl....

If it is a "penalty" based on wrong doing, e.g. something issued by a traffic warden then not chargeable. But if it's private then it is (should be), it's part of the contractural arrangement.

Personally I'd just put it through as parking costs and if it ever gets challenged by HMIT "oh fair enough, didn't realise".

If it's illegal then it's not an expense. If it's a private company then it might be an expense.

Not allowable. I asked my accountant about putting a (very substantial) fine for speeding through the books, as I was on a business trip. The answer was a categoric "no".

Hmmm, I've been fined for speeding once in Holland and I've twice got done for the London Congestion charge. All times they managed to trace me via my German plates to my home address. There is a company that works on behalf of various authorities in various countries to do just that. Be careful...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Was this the trip with that lass at work? I know how difficult it is to control the speed with "distractions"
