What I do not understand about you is you are about 4 years younger than me and I have a completely different mindset to you.

What happened between 73 and 77?

Purely for research purposes where were you raised?

Why do you keep asking people that?

Posters on here live in different parts of the country and have different circumstances. Some even work far away from home just so they can have a nice home lifestyle.

Because if you bought 2000 or earlier, you have it made.

You can't see it because you are inside the bubble.

              And why am i bothered?

The volatility and bubble behaviour wrecks lives, and makes lives.

I would like a cheap, benign market leaving plenty of wealth to be spent on the economy. (Maybe Germany is a good example).

Including like people I know who are older including those born in 1973 who handled their keys back into the building society in the early 90s recession?

Also remember in the 1990s houses were cheap because many people didn't have jobs.

It was about 98 cos I had to raise 2k for the deposit

However made no profit on that it was the house me n the missus bought in 01 which jumped from 80 to 180 k in 6 years. However the house I bought in 07 had also jumped by 100k so..

Also was earning about 15 k per year when I bought my first house

                    What about you?

                      2005 £150k gone up maybe £30k maybe.

In many ways I am fortunate to have bought, younger folk are completely screwed.

                      But it's very very modest.
