Johnson has always said he's not a natural "outer".

He's on a winner whatever happens here. If the out vote wins, he's the one that swung it and the natural choice for next leader; if the out vote loses he's the plucky guy that fought the good fight but lost, so that the crying Tories in the shires will remember that and vote Boris for next party leader (bearing in mind it's a choice of two people on that final ballot).

Boris doesn't give a stuff whether the result is in or out. He just reckons this is a golden opportunity to do himself some good vis-a-vis getting the leadership of the Conservative party. If you imagine Boris has any principles whatsoever beyond what's best for Boris, you're being very naïve.

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Nor can I along with a lot of people, even Cameron doesn't like him much seeing as he removed him as Education Minister for being a complete arsehole. I think he looks like someone who dribbles when he talks, in fact his face would make a great Spitting Image puppet

Actually, I think this could harm his chances, either way. Principles count for something (Hameron notwithstanding ) and I think most Tory voters will have Boris pegged on this, not to mention that 50% of the PP will now be overtly hostile. We all knew that he was a blatant careerist, like most of them, but he's still gone down in my estimation (even if I agree with much of what he's saying).

Stephen Fry for PM, Richard Branson for Chancellor; inspirational bloke in the hotseat, sound business bloke in charge of the coffers. Better than career politicians attempting to do jobs that they have little in the way of real life qualifications to do.

If the OUT vote wins and it turns out to be a disaster then Boris will be blamed for ruining the whole country.

Out won't win. Formula for In vote:
                      =Max(In,51)
